First and foremost, Misty River is a place where friendship and song blend together. Our members are from all over the western suburbs, in all walks and stages of life: students, working women, stay-at-home moms, grandmoms, and singles! What we all have in common is that we love to sing and harmonize together. We have a lot of fun doing it too! We welcome women of all ages to come sing with us and have a fun-filled night. We love to sing in our communities!. From our Holiday show in December to singing at local festivals, Misty loves to perform! We are available to perform for a variety of audiences including festivals, business events, charitable and civic organizations, church groups, social clubs, and retirement communities. If you’re looking for a unique musical experience to liven up your event, check us out!
Education
In addition to sharing our music with others, another great passion of ours is learning more about the art of a cappella singing. Vocal instruction is a regular part of chorus rehearsals and a very important component of the chorus experience. A couple of times a year, we will get coaching from a visiting master in the art of barbershop, where we learn many fabulous tricks of the trade.

Misty Area 4 Competition
An opportunity to improve our sound and performance – Misty has participated in Harmony, Inc.’s Area 4 Contest. A mix of hands-on learning workshops and competitions – this is a special time for quartets and choruses to sing for one another and benefit from constructive feedback from the panel judges.
